]]> Satyam Kumar was the youngest Indian to have cracked the IIT JEE exams in 2013. He ranked 670 at the age of just 13. Kumar is a resident of Bhojpur district in Bihar. Before sitting for the exam, Satyam studied at Kota, Rajasthan. The boy’s father is a farmer by profession. In 2011, Kumar managed to secure a rank of AIR 8137. He was motivated to secure a better rank and fulfilled his dream in 2013.

Kumarthen joined IIT Kanpur. “I was not satisfied with my low rank and hence repeated the test this year. I was confident of making it this year again,” Kumar had reported Economic Times. After completing the BTech-MTech Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering, Satyam enrolled in the ECE PhD program at the University of Austin. He will graduate in 2024 and is currently a Machine Learning intern at Apple.
