It has been alleged that the scores of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main candidates have been changing unbeknownst to them. The latest case, which is the third one so far, is of a candidate who applied for JEE Advance and got rejected. According to this particular candidate, her initial marks were 99.92% in session 1 and 99.89% in session 2. The cut-off for the general category is 88.41%, and the candidate’s marks met the qualificatory criterion.

However, her application was rejected and the portal cited ‘invalid application number’ as the reason for the rejection. Kaustubh Shukla, the candidate’s lawyer, alleged that the website later changed the candidate’s application number and this can be proved by the initial scorecard and admit card issued to the candidate. “The petitioner is being wrongly precluded from applying for the JEE (Advanced) examination, despite having secured more than the cut-off score, due to a technical glitch,” alleged Shukla.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), however, challenged the candidate’s claim and said that her application was rejected because her final score was 68.92% which is much lower than the cut-off meant for the general category. The Delhi High Court has allowed the candidate to apply for JEE Advance but will conduct a thorough examination of electronic records to get to the bottom of the situation.

Another candidate, who also alleged that his marks changed, claims that he scored 99.23% and 99.47% in his first and second sessions respectively, but his marks were later changed to 77% which rendered him unable to qualify for JEE Advance application process.

Directorate of Medical and Research, Haryana (DMER)will soon bring up the NEET 2021 cut-off list for Haryana after all the admission process are finally over. The cut-off will be released separately for the all-India quota (AIQ) seats and also for the state quota seats. Sadly, the number mentioned as cut-off is the last rank that candidates must obtain at any cost to get admission into the MBBS or BDS courses.

Besides, DMER is responsible for conducting the state counselling process for 85% of seats in government as well as 100% seats in both private medical or dental colleges of the state. Some of the very crucial factors that are considered while determining the cut-off such as the difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates applying for admission and total number of seats present etc.

NEET cut-off for 15% AIQ seats will be out by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on its official website. The cut-off will include the all India rank of the candidate along with the college or course allotted to all the students.

DMER, Haryana is the authority responsible for conducting the counselling and releasing the cut-off for college admissions. The cut-off will be released category wise. Also, candidates are required to participate in the state counselling process too for admission to the state quota seats.

In addition, it is important to know that cut-off varies each year, however, previous year’s cutoff is also offered to the students to have a rough idea about their chances of getting their dream college. Given below is the cut off list for last year.
