Such scholarships have kept the dreams of several students alive. Not only does these scholarships alleviate the burden of tuition fees from families but promotes academic excellence and research. This October there is a line of scholarships that one can apply for. The following scholarship and fellowship programmes offer great opportunities to higher education and acquirement of knowledge.

Santoor Scholarship Programme 2023-24

The Santoor Scholarship Programme aims to support young women from disadvantaged backgrounds from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh who are pursuing their undergraduate degrees. The eligibility for the scholarship are as follows:

  • Passed class 10 from a local government school
  • Only for young women from underprivileged backgrounds from states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh
  • Passed class 12 from a government school or a junior college in 2022-23
  • Has enrolled in a full-time graduate programme in 2023-24.

Prizes and rewards

INR 24,000 per year

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 2023-24

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is dedicated to support meritorious students from across the country for their undergraduate studies. The programme fosters India’s socio-economic development. The eligibility for the scholarship are as mentioned below:

  • Students must be enrolled in the first year of their full-time undergraduate degree. It can be in any stream and should be from a recognised Indian institute.
  • Must have passed class 12 with minimum 60% marks
  • Annual household income should be INR 15,00,000 (preference will be given to students with a family income of less than INR 2,50,000)
  • Resident Indian citizens are qualified only. Aptitude test is mandatory.

Prizes and rewards

Up to INR 2,00,000 over the duration of the degree

Medhaavi Engineering Scholarship Programme 2023-24

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) will offer financial assistance to underpriviledged students who are pursuing engineering courses at 20 specific NITs. The scholarship is aimed to encourage students for higher studies and become employable. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship programme are as follows:

  • Students enrolled in the first year of the undergraduate engineering course in the 20 NITs for the academic year 2023-24.
  • Must have scored 55% marks in class 12 examination
  • Annual family income should be less than INR 8 lakh

Prizes and rewards

One-time fixed scholarship of INR 50,000
